I believe that finding a psychologist who you can feel at ease with and comfortable to share your innermost thoughts and feelings is of prime importance in building a good therapeutic relationship. I am passionate and committed in supporting people to share their personal stories in a safe and rewarding environment.
I commenced working as a clinical psychologist 13 years ago and have extensive knowledge and practice in the assessment and treatment of a range of mental health concerns across all developmental ages. My experience covers diverse settings including child protection, a psychiatric hospital ward, psychology clinics, at vehicle crash scenes as well as volunteering in forensic mental health services; which has provided me with a vast level of familiarity and understanding in many aspects of psychological health. Supporting people of all ages through any struggles including, depression and anxiety disorders, stress and worry, distress tolerance and childhood social and emotional difficulties is my main priority. I use a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.
I have two primary school aged children and they bring me an enormous amount of delight, as well as the lived experience of parenting trials and tribulations! Additionally, I hold a position as a Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide’s Centre for Automotive Safety Research where I work on human factors research with a strong interest in examining behavioural and mental health issues relating to road crashes.
