Transforming Minds
Every Age, Every Stage

How We Can Help
Our many years of experience have shown us that at times everyone feels overwhelmed by the day to day pressures of modern life. This can result in not coping as well as we would like and often suffering emotional distress. Our role as Psychologists is to help you or your child find your way back to a great quality of life again.
Feeling Nervous?
New clients often report feeling a little nervous making their first contact with a Psychologist. We understand that getting started can be difficult so we endeavour to make the process as easy as we can.

Life Stressors
Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed by our day-to-day lives and start to feel like we are not coping as well as we would like too.
These feelings of overwhelm can present as anxiety, depression or just a general feeling of “not being on top of things”.
If you have been feeling overwhelmed for a while you may find it helpful to talk to someone who can help you with some strategies to gain control of life again.
Children & Adolescents

Is it aichmophobia or ombrophobia?
Here at ThinkWise, we love treating phobias. However, what we also love are the interesting names given to the various phobias that we see in our clinic, so we thought we would share some of these phobias with you.

Disconnection
This world in which we live can be a rewarding but also demanding and crazy place. Living within our society, busily getting on with our working lives, home lives, social lives and other pursuits, it’s all too easy to lose track of ourselves and our values, and over the longer term, this disconnection increases our chances of feeling depressed and anxious.

Book Review: Factfulness
Have you ever found yourself feeling stressed and hopeless about the state of the world? Then this book is for you; Factfulness by Dr Hans Rosling.

Responding to self-harm
Most parents feel overwhelmed and alone when they find out their teen has been self-harming. What is the best way to respond to self-harm?

Body Image Problems: Reality or Rhetoric?
Body image problems are a reality; a reality that can cause major mental health issues, as well as physical health issues. The time to fight back is now!
